Pet Barn Information
Since its inception, Hi Ho's pet program has found permanent homes for thousands of puppies and kittens. The Puppy and Kitten Barn is an activity at camp that allows kids to play with the animals inside a well-staffed barn. Kids can play with the puppies and kittens during camp hours or decide to adopt for a night. We provide a cage and food if you decide to take home a cuddly creature for a day. Our mission is to find permanent homes for the puppies and kittens, so if you're in the market for a new family member, please consider going this route!

Adopting pets overnight is free. Permanent adoption prices are as follows:
Puppies: $30
Kittens: $15

Picking up and dropping off pets
1. Call the Pet Barn (502.599.8558) to make sure the pet you want is available.
2. Tell a Pet Barn representative your camper's counselor so we know he/she is a car rider.
3. Drive to Camp Hi Ho (Pets cannot ride the bus) and pick up your camper and the pet by 2:45pm. The Pet Barn is located at the end of the gravel road that you drive on as you enter Hi Ho.
4. Bring your camper and the pet back to Camp the next morning by 9:30am.
There is some minor paper work that is needed from parents in order to complete the adoption process (temporary and permanent) .
