Pet Barn
The pet barn at Camp Hi Ho has found great homes for thousands of puppies and kittens since its inception. The pet barn is an activity at Camp where kids can cuddle up with puppies and kittens in a well-staffed environment. Campers can play with our animals during camp hours, or adopt a puppy or kitten for a night. We provide a cage and food if you decide to take home a cuddly creature for a night. Our mission is to find homes for these animals, so if you're in the market for a new family member, please consider going this route!

Please follow the below instructions for animal adoption (temporary and permanent adoptions):
1.
Call the pet barn (502.633.8548) to make sure the animal you'd like is available.
2. Tell a pet barn representative your camper's counselor so we can notify the counselor and tell them your camper will be a car rider (see below).
3.
Drive to Camp Hi Ho (pets cannot ride the bus) to pick up your camper and the pet by 2:45pm. The pet barn is located at the end of the gravel drive that you drive on as you enter Camp.
4. Bring your camper and the pet back to Camp the next morning by 9:30am.
There is some minor paper work needed by parents to complete the adoption process (for temporary and permanent adoptions). This is done in the pet barn.
Price
Adopting an animal for the night is free. Permanently adopting a puppy is $30. Permanently adopting a kitten is $15.
